Talleres SASPI, S.A. is a company that was founded in 1961 in Azkoitia by seven partners. Company’s name, SASPI, derives from “zazpi” (seven in Basque). It is a company that since its inception it was clear that the local and national market was not its main goal. The true potential of the sales of its machines was abroad. Even being a humble company, it was one of the pioneers in the exportation of machine tools abroad and outside Europe, overcoming all the inconveniences that they had at that time. It was a company belonging to a market that in Spain, practically had no competition and worldwide were counted the companies that competed at the same level and dared to export.

In 1986 the company changed management, which further boosted exports and increased the product range, thus covering the needs of all types of screw manufacturers. With the new support, the company once again became one of the market leaders. Talleres SASPI has machines in more than 15 countries.

In recent years, and in order to overcome the introduction of new industries to the market, Talleres SASPI chose to increase the quality and technology of the machines to stand out in the market and specialize in more elitist industries such as the automotive and aerospace industries. These are very powerful industries where the quality of the product prevails rather than the price.
